Projects I have supported to paint as an Assistant Painter

Sybil Pheonix - Head Artist Boudicca Paloma

Boudicca Paloma is a brilliantly skilled Artist who not only works on her own art projects but often works on film sets as part of the Art Department. She won this commission, painted in Lewisham Shopping Centre, offered by the Lewisham Borough of Culture Grant, to be exhibited at a local arts festival celebrating artists and prominent people in the community. Boudicca chose Sybil Pheonix and what an amazing choice! Sybil Pheonix has been a long standing help to Lewisham and stills lives there today. Sybil helped immensely during the Newcross fires and also founded the Marsha Pheonix Memorial Trust which is a supporting housing project for single homeless young women. I was honoured to assist on this project for a few days. If you are ever down in Lewisham Shopping Centre go and check it out!

SHP End Of Year Exhibition

SHP is a charity for homeless people and Meg O’Malley is the Art Coordinator there. I met Meg at the Lewisham School Of Muralism and it was a nice suprise that she worked for SHP because I had worked there years ago. We kicked it off and she asked me to assist her to paint a mural for their end of year exhibition which I was more than honoured to do. This exhibition showed the creative works of people using their services, from photography, carpentry and jewellery.
